Mayan acupressure/Reiki in southern CA?

I've been given the runaround by my Dr's for over a year now with no sign of actual treatment(or formal diagnosis) in sight.
It's time to pursue other avenues of medicine.
Anyone know of anybody who specializes in Mayan acupressure or Reiki treatments in or around Southern California?

I'm curious as to how these humans of ancient times seemed to realize that an electric current flows through the body and at which points on the body were the positions to apply the pins/pressure to restore proper energy flow and cure ailments
